…on the road to something new
I was home from an inspiring trip to my first Plein Air painting festival. If you haven’t been to one, I invite you to look up a local event and go… there are artists on every corner, painting the local landscapes and culture and watching them will have you falling in love with your community and art in a whole new way. I had been itching to expand my skills and tool set and while I was waiting on my painting kit to arrive, I fashioned one from some truly too-beautiful-to-throw-away packaging from my favorite beauty products — Jones Road Beauty. Makeup maven Bobbi Brown founded this company in her 60’s, as her non-compete clause with Estée Lauder from her first beauty product line ran down, and so she was the perfect inspiration for my own ‘re-imagining” as an artist in my 60’s. Imagine my delight that upon posting my made up painting kit on Instagram, her company shared it as well. How delightful is that?
So, look for me to hit the road, soon, wearing my Jones Road products and facing this new landscape I am creating with flair and forward thinking style:)
